-- ChemBridge Corporation announced today that it has signed a five-year discovery chemistry collaboration agreement with Merck & Co., Inc. This new alliance follows a previous research collaboration of Merck with ChemBridge Corporation and ChemBridge Research Laboratories, Inc. (CRL) that was established in 2001.
Under the latest agreement, which expands and extends ChemBridge and Merck's alliance through 2009, ChemBridge FTE scientists will work with Merck's scientists on multiple research intensive discovery chemistry projects in support of Merck's global drug discovery efforts. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Through our collaboration, ChemBridge Corporation and CRL were able to execute on very complex chemistry and always exceeded our expectations,” said Steven Hutchins, Director of Outsourcing at Merck. “This new collaboration will build upon our past successful interactions, which included custom lead generation libraries and other projects, and is expected to enable Merck to advance our discovery efforts in key areas.”
